Hello friends of the Interface,
Big changes today! I’m switching the platform that hosts my comic. All my newsletter emails will also come from the new platform, called Substack. I’ll explain why after the pages. Instead of a monthly newsletter, I’m planning on delivering 6 pages at a time like below. I hope this change is ok with you, please feel free to share your thoughts and questions in the comments.
Below you’ll find the first 6 pages of the next book. Pretty happy with how they came out. Tried a lot of different colour combinations for the hero, but ultimately landed on what you see below. If you’re familiar with my work, you might recognize some of the creatures :) I would love to hear your feedback, please don’t be shy.
I also hope everything is good with you in these weird times. My only wish is that these pages will take your mind of your troubles for a little while. Enjoy!

Why the change of platform and why Substack.
The old platform/site (Wordpress) I’ve been using will be up a little while longer but I will eventually completely shut it down.
This site will be the home of my comics from now on. I won’t be posting any new comics on tfti.inkorpora.com and eventually I will shut it down. Here’s a breakdown of my reasoning:
Why quit Wordpress
Hosting costs have risen dramatically and I can no longer justify the expense.
Maintaining a Wordpress site is time consuming. I’d rather be drawing.
A Wordpress site is vulnerable to attacks, spam and all that jazz.
Why choose Substack
Platform is much more user friendly. Designing the style of a site is nice, but it takes time and maintenance.
Nice community of artists who use Substack
Integrated paid membership
Integrated subscribers and newsletter management
Overall, it’s cheaper, easier and as more built-in features
What about the store?
I completely shut down the woocommerce part of the site. Again, too complicated to maintain. I don’t feel it’s worth my time. To top it off, 95% of my sales are through Festivals and Kickstarter. It made sense.
I’ve open a squareup site at manufilteau.square.site. I already use their app to sale at cons, so a big part was already done. You’ll find a link the navigation.
The domains
That’s a big question. I’d like to keep a simple HTML site for my portfolio and I’d like to keep my emails for my 3 domains. I need to find a cheap host that suits my need.
