Good day Interface user!
A big welcome to all the new people who just joined the Interface in the last month. Thank you so much for your interest.
On the last weekend of May, I was attending FBDM/MCAF. This is by far, my favorite event. It was a year to remember. Rain, cold weather and uncertain economy did not stop comic fans from attending the event. I expected a slow year, but was amazed at the turnout.
The interface is a machine that generates virtual reality scenarios in a post-apocalyptic world. Depending on your social status, you can get a better life and better scenarios through the Interface.
I must have said this sentence a thousand times over the weekend :). I think I pretty much distilled the main idea of this story with this pitch. What do you think?
It’s always very comforting to see friends of the project come in every year. It makes it all worthwhile. I met a bunch of new people from Montreal of course, but also from Kamloops (BC), Australia, Brazil…
While we were cold in our tents, the real heroes where the volunteers and the organizers of the festival. They always give everything they have every year. I can’t thank them enough.
Now on to the comic!
I struggled so much finding a background colour for this scene. In the end I chose grey, I thought it tied well to a story in my first book, that happens to be in black and white. I also integrated the watercolor effect from th esame story. I think it worked out nice and makes the character and centipede really pop!
